Why Buy New?
Imagine fresh carpet, custom designed cabinets, the latest appliances, walls with new paint already in place and a floor plan that makes sense – a home free from any hidden maintenance issues. Imagine the thrill of knowing this home was built just for you. Still not convinced? Here are a few more benefits of buying new.
A new home is, well….new.
No one has lived here before you. Everything is clean and brand new. You don’t have to worry about extensive repair or updating costs. (And you get to enjoy the “new home smell.”)
You choose what contemporary floor plan and finishes work for you.
With more than 25 floor plans to choose from and our exclusive buyer Design Freedom, you’re able to create a home that is uniquely yours. You’re not limited to the boxy, confined floor plans of the past. Instead, you have access to contemporary floor plans designed with your family in mind – open spaces, lots of room and convenient useful features for the modern day family. Our Design Freedom gives you the ability to make adjustments to your floor plan and choose finishes that speak to your personal style and needs.
Building materials have evolved and offer better-than-ever long-term quality.
No need to drop a lot of money to fix a cooling system that quits six months into your ownership dream. You won’t pay more for utilities because of air leaks caused by poor insulation. Our homes are crafted with the highest quality materials and built to last. Energy-efficient insulation, double-pane windows and modern HVAC systems that are low-maintenance and easy to operate are just some of the features we provide standard. And we’re always introducing the newest, finest materials into our building practices.
You’ll have peace of mind working with a third-generation builder who cares.
Our family cares about your family. We’ve been helping families build their dream homes for three generations. We stand behind our product and we provide the service to back it up, including a one year new home warranty. If any issues arise within the first 90 days, your Rodrock Homes project manager will be there to take care of it, and after 90 days our warranty facilitator will be there to provide outstanding service.
The Building Process
Whether you build from the ground up or purchase a showcase home, you’ll be involved at every step. With our buyer Rodrock Homes Custom Experience, you’ll make design decisions throughout your build that allow you to make your home uniquely yours, even when purchasing a showcase home. A traditional build takes eight to nine months to complete from the ground up. Along the way, we’ll meet with you at each milestone to walk through your new home and discuss important design options.
Walk the Home-site: We’ll walk the home-site together to talk elevation, the direction the home should face and other pre-build essentials.
Staked Out with the Plot Plan: After the home site has been staked out, we’ll walk through with you and the home plans to discuss minor adjustments, trees and other important last details before the foundation is poured.
Post-Framing: After your new home has been framed, but before sheetrock is installed, you’ll have the opportunity to pick where you want an additional outlet or light fixtures.
Trim: Decide on bookcases, the fireplace mantle and other final touches.
Final Walk-Through: Everything is almost ready to go. We’ll walk through to ensure no details have been missed.
New Homeowner Orientation: Just before closing, we’ll walk through one last time to go through our custom home checklist, teach you about the mechanical pieces of the home (HVAC, etc) and sign the documents.
Closing: Soon after your New Homeowner Orientation, you’ll head to closing at the title company where you’ll sign the deed and final loan documents. Once recording has taken place you’ll get the keys and take ownership of your new custom home built just for you!
