According to recent GuildQuality survey results, Rodrock Homes received top ratings in both integrity and expertise from its homeowners.
Sent routinely to all Rodrock homebuyers thirty days after they take possession of their new home, the surveys are used by Rodrock Homes both to gauge client satisfaction and to solicit feedback for the company’s continuous improvement.
During the last twelve months, over half of the survey’s respondents gave the builder and developer a 90% or above rating for overall customer satisfaction. Clients also gave the company high marks for its ethical standards, homebuilding know-how, and commitment to value.
“They’ve got integrity beyond reproach,” says Bill Luemmen, who recently enlisted Rodrock Homes to build his home in Overland Park’s Wilshire Farms. “We built once before and the experience was just terrible,” admits the homeowner, who says he was given little voice and customer service in his first-time build.
“But this time it was a refreshing experience,” says Luemmen. “We felt like we were building a total custom home.”
Clients say Rodrock Home’s personalized approach and dedicated follow-through make the home-building process one they would do again, and repeat clients prove the point.
“My wife and I have enjoyed the building process so much,’ writes Harshvardhan Barve, who moved into his new Rodrock home last fall. “This is our second house with Rodrock Homes, and our expectations have been continually met,” says the homeowner.
Customers also talk of instances where their expectations were exceeded.
“Jeff Gifford went above and beyond,” says Luemmen of the company’s Chief Operating Officer, who custom-crafted a patio and basement that have become favorite Luemmen family living areas.
“He’d listen to us first, then say ‘I have an idea.’ He suggested extending the fireplace stone up to the ceiling and expanding the basement walkways, then he followed through,” says Luemmen. “It all turned out even better than we had anticipated. ”
Even after construction is complete, buyers say the company is there for them long after the sale. After falling in love with the floor plan, basement media room, and stone-wall wet bar in a completed model home, Erik and Jami Smith recently purchased the model itself.
“They’re not just interested in the sale. They back up their product,” says Erik Smith, who not long ago asked Rodrock Homes to fix a seam in his granite kitchen countertop. “Any time we had an issue, they didn’t give resistance,” says Smith. “There’s no grief, no static, they just came out and made it right.”
And while Chief Executive Officer Brian Rodrock admits his company likes to get things right the first time, satisfying customers any time is his top priority. “We’ll make it right, no matter what,” says Rodrock.
To ensure they do just that for homebuyers, the company continues to evolve both its processes and programs.
Project Managers like Kristi Maurer are put in place to keep homeowners informed—and ensure their voices are heard—before, after, and during every step of construction.
“You probably couldn’t have a better ambassador than Kristi,” says Smith. Like all of Rodrock Homes’ liaisons, “she’s an on the ball, take-care-of-it immediately kind of person,” Smith asserts.
Like Smith, new homeowner Steve Milonovich found Rodrock Homes to be equally responsive to his family’s needs. “They made it easy for first-time builders,” says Steve. “From our first interaction with their team through today, they have been extremely responsive, flexible, and willing to help.”
As out-of-town buyers, the Milonovich’s also appreciated the company’s willingness to consolidate paperwork and even arrange what Sheila calls a “whirlwind” single day for nearly all their interior design selections.
“It’s the first house we’ve built that we’ve had a hand in picking anything out. We’re very happy with it,” says Sheila.
Thanks to programs like the Rodrock Homes Custom Experience, plus an innovative partnership with Twigs Interiors, homeowners select much more than paint, tile, and carpeting to make their house a home.
Custom trim work and cabinet doors, glazed woodwork, and faux finishes are available for homeowners’ choosing, with qualifying buyers enjoying one-stop boutique design services from Twigs’ award-winning experts–even on items like upholstery, window treatments, and furniture.
Rodrock Homes’ clients can also choose to build virtually anywhere: with over three decades of family-owned business expertise in building and developing area communities, the Rodrock name is welcomed throughout Kansas City. Homes range in price from the mid $200,000s to $800,000, with over 20 floor plans from which to choose.
Right now prospective buyers can tour model homes furnished and decorated by Twigs in Overland Park’s Wyngate community, a neighborhood that, along with nearby Summerwood, is also developed by Rodrock Homes.
Still, homeowners like Luemmen suggest that nothing convinces prospective buyers of the company’s commitment to their clients like meeting the Rodrock Homes’ owners themselves. “Just like I did, people will see and feel comfortable with their ethics and integrity,” says the homeowner. “From the get-go, they make you feel like a friend.”
